What is ASWALK?

ASWALK Festival is an annual, travelling cultural platform rooted in Africa.
It focuses on appearance, skin, identity, and psychosocial well-being, led by lived experience, not charity narratives.
ASWALK brings together art, sports, movement, dialogue, culture, and community to challenge stigma and restore dignity in public space.

ASWALK Festival operates through the Appearance Republic, a community framework organised into Houses that honour lived experience, dignity, and ethical visibility.

It is how we create inclusion without harm, and visibility without spectacle.
